No, it’s not about the animated TV series characters. Welcome to the “real” South Park, a high grassland basin surrounded by mountain ridges. It is the epitome of all things Colorado, with 14,000-foot peaks, grand vistas, lush prairies, mining and railroad history, and abundant wildlife. South Park has it all! Bernie Nagy with High Country Artworks in Fairplay, Colorado released his 2010 photo travel essay book with 120 pages and 270 pictures in advance for the Holiday shopping season and before its official 2010 publishing date.
“The early response to the book has been great and I hope it will bring additional new visitors to this beautiful part of Colorado”, Nagy said. Nagy was so impressed with the beauty surrounding his new residence in South Park that he took photographs for a period of three years, often journeying to more remote locations that could only be reached by hiking or by four-wheel-drive vehicle. His dynamic pictures not only document the beauty of South Park’s scenery but also events, people, history and the wide variety of natural habitats. “This book was a labor of love, and I hope it inspires others to go out in nature, visit God’s country and enjoy the wonderful land that we have inherited from those who came before us and who created its rich history,” Nagy said.
The hardbound embossed SOUTH PARK book is available at a pre-published price of $29.95 postpaid from High Country Artworks, PO Box 1795, Fairplay, CO 80440. Credit cards order can be ordered securely online at http://www.southparkbook.com or by calling 719-839-1083.
